The Ovid Group's name is inspired by the Roman poet Publius Ovidius
Naso (March 20, 43 BC – 17 AD), who is known to the
English-speaking world as Ovid.
Ovid was major inspiration for Dante
Alighieri, Geoffrey
Chaucer, William
Shakespeare, and John Milton.
Ovid's most famous work, The
Metamorphoses (8 AD), is an epic poem that draws on Greek
Mythology and takes as its subject "forms changed into new bodies." It
